Hero or Villain?
A reader disagrees with my characterisation of Zelensky. Here's part of my reasoning.
The purge of dissenters has begun and it has a long way to go yet. It has started with conservative voices but won't end there.
You’ve probably hear the saying that a week is a long time in politics.
We need to update it because 24 hours now seems like an eternity.
Those of us who have been immersed in the political bubble, have grown to be familiar with the frantic pace. Even so, there is still room for even the battle scarred (like me) to be shocked with how quickly things can change.
It’s less than 24 hours since Joe Biden was confirmed as US President and the Democrats gained a lock on the US congress. Now we are seeing the Generals of their propaganda arm – aka the Tech Oligarchs – flexing their muscle.
Put simply, The Purge has begun
The US President was suspended by Twitter yesterday and has now been banned by Facebook.
This has the lefties cheering, with the ever compassionate freedom lover, former first lady Michelle Obama, wanting him banned from all Social Media permanently.
Perhaps it’s because polls show Trump is more popular than her husband and stood firm against the Obama, Biden, Clinton cartel.
But Trump is not alone in suffering tech ire.
One of the most watched independent media personalities in the United States, former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino was also banned from Twitter - for sharing a trump video.
Fellow conservative pundit Mark Levin has been censored by Facebook to such an extent that he has been driven from the platform.
These people, and many others are clearly being punished for their conservative views. It is becoming very clear that there is no room in the big tech tent for non-compliant views.
But strangely, others are freely allowed to share their repugnant views on these same platforms.
Former Malaysian Prime Minister, Dr Mahathir Mohamad, is still on twitter despite justifying genocide when he wrote “muslims have a right to be angry and kill millions of French people for the massacres of the past.”
Or what about the Black Lives Matter official twitter account. Just substitute the word black with white in this verified twitter profile and ask yourself, would anyone consider that acceptable?
One of the Ferals involved in yesterday’s capitol hill riots, has since been arrested, but his twitter profile, as reported by Heidi Hatch gives away some telling clues as to his true motivations. Have a look at his most used hashtags.
KUTV has confirmed a Utah man involved in violent protests in Utah this Spring was in D.C & stormed the Capitol amid violent protests. @JimSpiewak spoke to him. The story on 2 News at 10. His most often used hashtags: #blm #antifa #burn #fuckthesystem #abolishthepolice #fucktrump

His racist and violence inciting videos and messages are still up on various social media platforms while a conservative President calling for calm gets banned.
There are countless others of course but what was a suspected but previously unconfirmed targeting of conservatives is now fully underway. It will gather pace as the political left, and their commercial acolytes, cement their authority.
This is a step toward tyranny. Such is the reach of these platforms, they can shape the global conversation through suppression, advocacy, censorship or just simply shutting you down.
Whenever questioned about their processes and their power, these companies have many explanations to justify their actions but most of them appear to be convenient excuses.
I have said it before and I will say it again. These tech monsters need to be reigned in. They disavow themselves of any responsibility for what takes place on their platforms, while selling your information and censoring things they don’t think you need to know.
It’s time to take a good look behind the coder’s veil so we can all see how politically active, manipulative, disingenuous and deceptive these technology companies have become.
