Australia woke today to the news that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 2nd had died, aged 96
We rightfully mourn, as a means of expressing our sorrow at this news, but our sadness is not for a life taken too early. Our lament is not over an unexpected tragedy. Death, after all, comes for us all.
No, the global outpouring of sorrow is for ourselves.
