On Overnight Success

It often takes decades to be deemed an 'overnight success' and that maxim has been proven true once again.

On Overnight Success

Like most people in my part of the world, things are melting down due to the Summer heat.

However, the usual climate change apocalypse catastrophists have taken a back seat to the even scarier political opinion polls.

Scary, that is, if you are one of the Uniparty journeymen or from the fringe vocal regressive flank.

The clowns who have delivered Australia's policy disaster over successive decades are mortified that the public is waking up to their failings.

Now they are looking to a new direction, one provided by Pauline Hanson and the One Nation Party (ONP).

Most polls show ONP ahead of the Liberals, even the former Coalition with the National Party. That's good news for the country and bad news for the Uniparty insiders.

Many are saying it's an overnight success but they ignore the fact that it's taken 30 years of steadfast advocacy to become that 'overnight success'.

It's the same attitude thrown by the envious towards some of our greatest entrepreneurs who now enjoy significant wealth.

They are referred to as 'lucky' with no regard for the often decades-long hard, relentless grind to get 'lucky overnight'.

Only those who have never entered the political or business arena could rally around such thoughts. The critics know nothing of the toil and sacrifice that is required to build something sustainable and effective.

Rather than do it themselves, they sling slogans from the cheap seats while claiming they could have done it too....if only!

You'll get none of that from me. I know firsthand the relentless grind of trying to build a business and a political party.

Fortunately, my business activities were more successful than my attempt to create another force in politics, but I have no regrets about having tried the latter. And I am overjoyed that Pauline Hanson has finally done it.

Trying something new is the foundation of success; those who never get off their backsides to have a go can never succeed.

Few have the resilience and strength to continue pursuing their vision as they face obstacle after obstacle.

Seeing One Nation's progress is a great lesson for anyone aspire to make a change in their own life or in the lives of others.

That's why I am lending my shoulder to the ON wheel. I'm so happy that their time has come, and the country looks intent on changing the current course of politics.

We need a change at every level of politics - local, state and federal. We need more people to have a go and get involved. We need more voices to rally against the straitjacket of political correctness and the cultural cancer of wokeism.

Let's hope the rise of One Nation will inspire just that.
