The warning signs about the coercive nature of government have been amply demonstrated in recent times.

The Canadians froze bank accounts and payments for holding the wrong political views. Cyprus had a bank bail-in, funded by up to ten percent of the depositors balances.

The Russian people have had an effective cash freeze imposed upon them with their banking system virtually shut off from the rest of the world.

Increasingly, our money doesn't really seem to be ours anymore. It's become the play thing of government to exercise even more power and control.

That's part of the reason I began to look at new forms of money and stores of wealth - crypto currencies.
