That is if you are a politician and want to avoid taking responsibility for your repeated failures.
That's certainly the case with Victorian Premier Dan Andrews. His government is 'investigating' solutions to the housing crisis.
Among the mooted options is a new tax of up to $5 per night on tourists and visitors. There is also a suggestion that AirBnB owners may have limits imposed on the number of rental nights.
The purpose is to get more money for social housing because the State is broke.
It's just another attack on aspiration and the middle class by the socialist Premier.
