The post truth world is ruled by emotions and fuelled by great lies uttered by unscrupulous activists.

We are often told that the slippery slope argument is invalid and an offence to logic. Those who claim that are usually leftists who understand that their entire modus-operandi of change is to make some change and then use it to justify making more.

At its most basic level, the slippery-slope could be defined as:

"if we allow something relatively harmless today, we may start a trend that results in something currently unthinkable becoming accepted".

History demonstrates that, despite the objection of radicals, the argument is often a valid one.

This is particularly so in the realm of social change.
