Hope for the Future

Sometimes, you can't help but be inspired by young people.

I know there are regular discussions about the problems with one generation or another. That's always been the case and likely always will be.

However, despite the negative stereotypes of getting youngsters to actually turn up to work, those who do have a wealth of opportunity.

Some are succeeding in their own businesses through hard graft and innovation. Others are putting in the hours in private enterprise and rapidly rising through the ranks as their peers choose an easier path.

Still others assume serious responsibilities in the public sector at a very early age.

All of them inspiring tales that should give us some hope.

This was brought back to me last weekend when a group of youngsters were hanging out with their parents and grandparents. All were adults and pursuing different paths.

Of course, they had different measures of success, but they all seemed happy and enthusiastic about what they were doing.

They were also optimistic about the future, which was beautiful to hear.
