Federal Reserve Withdraws From Global Climate Group As Trump Set To Assume Power. Will the RBA & APRA do the same????
Peter Dutton has struck a chord with his decision to use a single flag as a backdrop if he becomes Prime Minister.
Sometimes, politicians do things that immediately resonate with people.
Peter Dutton did that last week when he said he'd only be standing in front of the Australian flag if he became Prime Minister.
He told Sky News:
“I’m very strongly of the belief that we are a country united under one flag, and if we’re asking people to identify with different flags, no other country does that, and we are dividing our country unnecessarily.”
While there are a couple of other countries with multiple flags (Bolivia and Uruguay), the principle is sound.
A national flag is meant to unite a nation rather than divide it, which is why advocates of the multi-flag theory promote division.
Consider, for instance, the Torres Strait Islander Flag. Do you ever see that being paraded around as a virtue signal by disgruntled leftists?
Do you see it flying from yachts on Sydney Harbor or fluttering aloft at your local bowling club?
No, neither do I.
