I love the annual debate about tax reform.
Sure, the headline is always a misnomer because reform is just another way of saying rises.
Tax rises are what passes for debate in this country.
Sure there are the usual business shills that push for lower company tax, but no one in public life is seriously looking to lower the overall tax take in this country.
Instead, it's a unity ticket of claiming the government needs more money to support the extensive and wasteful policies they keep introducing for the national good.
The more these policies are introduced, the worse our life becomes.
