Easter and Cultural Marxism

Easter and Cultural Marxism

Today is Good Friday. For some of you that won’t mean much other than a long weekend but for Christians, this is the holiest day on their religious calendar.

It’s when Christ was nailed to the cross at Calvary and left to die between two thieves. According to the Gospel, one of the thieves challenged Jesus:

"Are you not the Messiah? Save yourself and us." He demanded

However the other, rebuked the first and then said “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom”

Jesus replied “Amen, I say to you today you will be with me in Paradise”

It’s a powerful tale of forgiveness and according to various Christian traditions the thief who spoke in defence of Jesus is known as the penitent, the holy, the wise or the good thief.

Whether you are a believer in Christ  or not, the enduring messages from Jesus’ life, reflected in the New Testament have played a powerful role in our civilisation.

They have informed our moral and societal construct; building upon the golden rule of “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

Alas, this is a rule that is often set aside as increasing numbers in our community seek to worship at a different altar

It is not the place of organised religion but it could be called the church of self.

These narcissistic adherents place themselves at the centre of the universe and expect society to mould and adapt to their behavioural demands.

Any resistance to these selfish desires is immediately labelled to suit the zeitgeist – just pick one of the fanciful phobia’s or ism’s that are so popular these days.

There is one for almost every occasion – sexist, racist, transphobe, islamophobe, misogynist are just some. And when you claim them, they’ll immediately present your opponent as the evil one.

Interestingly, the only phobia guaranteed not to make you a victim is claiming Christophobia….that’s the fear, dislike and hatred of Christianity and Christians.

Christophobia is actually quite widespread amongst the social justice warrior brigade but claiming it doesn’t offer the same victim status and immunity from criticism that other phobia claims do.

That’s because many lefties understand how important the principles of Christianity are to western civilisation. As such,  loathing it is deemed OK among the radicals who seem to demand tolerance for any other belief system other than the one that built the society they exist in.

The leftists mission is to undermine the west and that can only be done by discrediting the church that Jesus built and the principles upon which it rests.

This process began in an orchestrated fashion in the Frankfurt School,  which acknowledged that for communism to advance, the West’s critical social structures had to be systematically dismantled.

Thus began the agenda of cultural marxism

Their methods of doing so have been described as follows.

The creation of Racism offences
Continual change to create confusion
The teaching of sex and Homosexuality to children
The undermining of schools' and teachers' authority
The destruction of National identity through Immigration
The promotion of mind altering and/or addictive substances
Emptying of churches
An unreliable legal system with bias against victims of crime
Dependency on the state or state benefits
Control and dumbing down of media
Encouraging the breakdown of the family

Based on that list, the cultural marxists have been spectacularly successful thus far.

So is Easter and the Christian tradition still relevant to contemporary Australia or is it just good for another boozy long weekend?
