An Appalling Appeal to Racism

Sometimes, I wonder if I am too close to the political action to allow for an impartial interpretation of events.

While recognising my political leanings and strong personal views, I try to understand the other side of an argument before rendering judgment.

However, there are occasions when I see something said or done by a public figure, and it immediately appals me.

That happened to me yesterday afternoon when watching a televised speech, an excerpt of which is below.

The sentiments expressed in this clip are what caused the outrage meter to creep up.
