An unscheduled note this morning as most of the country is enjoying a long weekend.
Some have chosen to use their time celebrating the atrocities of October 7, 2023, when Hamas invaded Israel and butchered innocents while taking others hostage.
That barbaric event kicked off the recent growing tensions in the Middle East that threaten to engulf that part of the world.
I don't want to labour the war over there and get into the pro or anti-Israel discussion that seems to polarise people.
Instead, I'd like your opinion on what's happening here.
There have been myriad calls to arrest those marching and carrying the Hezbollah flag in Australia. This is because the flag is the banner of an illegal terrorist organisation.
It's basically the same rules that prohibit the carrying or display of the Nazi Swastika (with some exceptions).
Here are some images from The Australian of the weekend rally, at which the people holding these signs were apparently arrested.
My question is, how do you feel about the ban on symbols that others may find offensive?
