One of the tricks of politics is to drop information you’d rather people didn’t notice at times when they are likely to be missed by the media. Their ABC have done it again.
The late Friday afternoon drop is a classic. It usually won’t make the evening news and often not even the Saturday papers. You can also make the drop during times of crisis so everyone’s attention is focussed elsewhere. The same can be said for times of festivities… like the Christmas season.
