Making an informed choice and wearing the consequences is part of being an adult. Writing about it may be tempting fate.
We've all been warned not to tempt fate.
It's an idiom that cautions showing confidence in something is to invite bad luck or an unpleasant situation.
I don't want to do that but I'll make the following observation anyway.
