If you still think the United Nations (UN) is a benevolent institution there to look after world peace, I have some news that might cause you to reconsider.
Next week the UN Credentials committee is meeting to consider admitting a representative of the Taliban as an endorsed UN member.
Right now, the former Afghani government representative is still in place but the Taliban want to send their own man to the diplomatic front line.
