Political Transitioning

As the major political parties morph into the Uniparty, one group stands on firm principles, including one policy that has seen me change my views.

Political Transitioning

Anyone who's followed my involvement in politics knows I've been 'transitioning' for some time.

I made the move in 2017 from the Liberal Party because I felt it had abandoned the values of a lifetime that I carried in my heart (and my head).

While there are glimmers of hope they may have reconnected with their founding vision, I cannot help but think the Party is lost. It's now filled with a managerial class of globalists who can only see as far as their next taxpayer-funded position.

Of course, there are some good eggs still working inside, but my sense is it's a futile task.

Even if they win the internal battles against their wet factional enemies, something weird happens to most people when they get to Canberra as politicians (or political staffers).

It only takes a short time for the political class to become accustomed to the taxpayer largesse and the relative unaccountability of the job.

Throw in some internal manipulation by soothsayers promising compliance rewards, and most lose all adherence to principle.

That's partly why I am lost to the Liberal Party, and they are lost to me.

But my transition has also involved a policy change.
