Who needs a fiction novel when a real life glimpse into the underworld can be so fascinating.

Sometimes truth is even better than fiction and when it comes to tales of criminality, this week was one of those times.
A massive police sting of organised crime gangs resulted in hundreds of millions in cash and drugs being seized and more than 800 arrests. It was known as Operation Trojan Shield.
It was a global operation but the really audacious part was how the authorities managed to get the information to bring down these networks.
The set-up is something that could well be found in a best-selling novel and I am sure it will be made into a movie one day.
