A Loser Like Lidia

Lidia Thorpe was chosen for her role based on race and gender rather than merit. If we keep doing that, our society will never heal the rift racist policies create.

A Loser Like Lidia

It's hard to stomach the lack of dignity exhibited by the lamentable Lidia Thorpe.

Parliament has always been a place of different personalities, but on most occasions, those holding positions in our national parliament rise to the occasion.

Sure, there are different views and intemperate words, but few go out of their way to make a total embarrassment of themselves.

In that sense, Thorpe has moved into a realm of her own.

A self-stylised Aboriginal leader, I can hardly think of a worse person to represent Aboriginal people.

That she was given a spot by the Greens after a history of bullying allegations and bankruptcy shows just how morally bankrupt that Marxist mob are.

They are so caught up in 'diversity' that they care nothing about capacity or coherence.

In one sense, the Greens Party has become a refuge for the unemployable, the unreliable and the unhinged.

So what does that say about the people who vote for them?

We once had a societal concern about 'reds under the beds', but we should be just as worried over Greens getting anywhere near government.

I discussed Thorpe's conduct with some people involved in the Paraguayan government last night.

Of course, they were unaware of her behaviour until I explained what had happened while we were discussing Indigenous affairs in our respective nations.
